Oxidation is a surface treatment to turn silver black. With wear over time, silver may begin to show through on some exposed surfaces. To help the finish last longer, the ring has been sealed with a wax sealer, but avoiding water, chemicals, or anything that may cause additional wear will help it last longer. I’m aways happy to help you reoxidize your ring in the future if needed.
