What is Argentium Silver?

Argentium Silver is a Silver alloy, similar to Sterling, with a few differences. Argentium has a higher silver content, lower copper content, and an added metal called Germanium. This combination gives Argentium a bright white color that is much more tarnish resistant than Sterling. Which means less time worrying about cleaning your silver.

 

How Do I Take Care Of My Jewelry?

The best way to take care of your jewelry so it lasts for years to come is simply be kind to it. Remove your jewelry before any rigorous activities like working out, swimming, gardening, doing the dishes, even sleeping! Maybe you have heard it said that jewelry should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off? This holds true. Even hairspray should go on before your jewelry. 

Thankfully, There's less tarnishing with Argentium Silver, but occasionally it may need to be cleaned. A few simple ways to do this yourself is with either a polishing cloth, a mixture of baking soda and warm water, or a gentle silver cleaning solution.

Never submerge pearls or opals in water. 

Prevent tarnish by storing your jewelry in plastic baggies and by wearing it frequently. Did you know that just wearing your jewelry prevents tarnish? How cool is that?

For items with a patina on the surface (black in areas), this finish can wear off over time. To preserve the dark finish longer, store out of direct sunlight (this can fade it), remove jewelry before washing your hands/showering/gardening etc. The patina can be added back to the piece, either by using an oxidizing product, or contact me and I can clean up the piece and refinish it for you for a small fee. 

 

Returns

All bespoke or custom made jewelry is non-returnable. This includes jewelry that was sized before being shipped like rings or necklace length alterations. 

If for some reason you need to return a piece that is not bespoke/custom/altered, please reach out to me within a week of receiving your piece of jewelry in the mail. Returns will be accepted within this window on jewelry that is still in original packaging, undamaged, and unworn. Shipping fees and a restock fee of 5% will be covered by the purchaser, including return shipping.

Free standard UPSP First Class shipping in the US. Turnaround time is about 3 days for most items listed in my store. Please allow up to a week for me to size a ring. Expedited shipping and international options available during checkout. 

Bespoke or custom projects will have a timeframe of 3 months, unless otherwise specified.
